Music follows us everywhere we go. 
It’s what carries us from one place to another, away from one setting sun towards a new horizon. 
It surrounds us by the fire and inhabits our dreams at night. 
It lingers in our heads as we climb that mountain or carve into that wave. 
It’s all encompassing and consuming.

Here’s the playlist that carried us throughout the South Island of New Zealand last fall. Exploring the entirety of the island in our white 1990s Toyota Townace 4WD camper, lovingly named Yoko, we yelled and strained our voices singing along to our favorite Patti lyrics. When we were surfed out, we leaned our heads against the window for the longest legs of our journey with Johnny. Thanks to these artists, we floated along on the texture landscape of the island, wishing that we could freeze each moment for just a little bit longer.
