My partner got this bag for my birthday and I absolutely love it! After looking so many bags online for my 3 week travels in Australia and Bali I nearly gave up until I stumbled onto Roark and their gear. I'm so glad that I did as this bag definitely delivered! It ticked all the boxes I needed. I was worried about the size and carry on compliance because that's how we travelled, but I had no issues in Australian domestic flights and flying over to Bali (only because no one really checked). I had it checked on the flight home though. The bag itself has already some weight to it so keeping it within the weight limit can get tricky. Plenty of pockets and easily accessible, love the compression straps. Would've loved a water bottle pocket but it's not a deal-breaker. Easily adjustable good straps, stowaway hip straps are a big bonus. Feels good on the back once it's properly adjusted. Served me well on my 3 week holiday and will be my go to bag for longer trips. The bag survived being a checked luggage like a trooper. Might look into getting the 35L eventually for a care-free carry on option, but this Roark 55L fit everything and probably a bit more than needed. A very solid bag, would highly recommend.

I bought this for my son's remote work and back packing trip to Central America. It was a great purchase as it was so versatile: pockets for his laptop, water bottle, passport and best of all - he did not have to check baggage. It has a side handle to carry on like a small suitcase. He was impressed with the quality, functionality and size of the bag. Love it!

Yessir! I’ve had the 5-day pack for over two years and this thing is well built and spacious enough for a 1 bag trip to anywhere you want to go. I’m a fairly minimalist traveler and bodysurfer and have fit swim fins, wetsuit, and clothes for trips to Australia and Hawaii in this simple carry on. Get lots of compliments on the bag too. Amazing Bag! I went on a two week backpacking trip in Europe and this was simply perfect. Waterproof, easy to organize, and never had issues with bringing this on the plane. Would definitely recommend this bag for backpacking trips. Awesome colors too.

We are upgrading our avalanche rescue packs. These packs seem well constructed and fit all of our gear in an organized manner. We have not put them to the test yet as the winter has finally released its grip on the Sierra and its June.

This could’ve been a fantastic bag. The material is excellent, the quality is great. But… it’s pretty much junky because of one issue - the beveled top opening. It ruins the bag. It’s bad enough that the bad loses usable space because of that. Worse than that, it makes it nearly impossible to pack flat. As you pack it from the bottom nothing hold stuff on the top end since there is no wall there, and everything just falls out. You can’t compress anything because there is no structure on the top end. What a shame.

This bag is everything! Carry on for planes, fits enough for a solid trip, and is easy to access all of my stuff easy. Only complaint is that it doesn’t have a hard frame but it’s still comfy!

The bag is a good size. I like the pockets. However, I was surprised by how cheap the materials are. The zippers are not very sturdy and I don’t expect them to last long with any amount of weight in the bag. I like the padding on the shoulder straps but the materials again are quite cheap. I would not recommend this bag for anything but light travel.

It's easy to pack and organizes really well. It's like a suitcase, duffle and backpack all in one! My only hesitation is if I get on a strick airline and the size is just a little longer than the tsa guidelines. Otherwise I love it for travel and to pack ski gear.

Not impressed with the quality of the straps on bag. For the cost I would not recommend this product.
